“Spiridoula I’m melting. What I’m seeing isn’t possible! We loved the album. Thank you, you’ve made my day!”
Sofia & Christian met in Athens at a mutual friends’ party. Because Christian lived in Germany, they were both reluctant at first to enter into a long distance relationship. However, they fell in love very soon and Sofia proposed she would move to Germany with him. Since then, they have never looked back. The culmination of their fantastic relationship was their wedding in the Stamata community of Attica where Christian grew up.
A lot of friends and family naturally came from Germany for their wedding. On the day before the wedding, Christian took them to the Acropolis museum and the Acropolis together with a German speaking tour guide.
On the same day, we also took the couple for their pre-wedding photo shoot at a friend’s beautiful home in Schinias in the historic area of Marathon.
On the Saturday of the wedding, Christian got dressed in his home in Stamata together with his sister, his dad, his best friends and his best man Argyris. Christian was very happy and just a little bit nervous. At the same time, Sofia was getting ready at her home in Nea Filadelfia with her family. there was a lot of dancing before Sofia showed herself in her stunning wedding dress to everyone. The chapel in Stamata where the wedding took place was absolutely stunning, in the middle of a quiet, green neighbourhood. The ceremony was held outside, which made everything very natural.
The reception at the Ktima Casarma in Nea Kifissia was a fantastic party with a lot of dancing. All the young crowd stayed up until the early hours of the morning.
The next day, we returned to Schinias in order to create a few images for the post-wedding shoot (aka trash the dress).
