When Derek went to his parish priest back home in Ireland to get the certificates he needed in order to get married here in Zante, the priest started to tell him off about his lack of appearances at mass. Derek courteously replied that he was playing football on Saturday nights. The priest nearly bit his head off…!!!
The priest at Gemma and Derek’s wedding, however, was very friendly and spiritual. You can see it in the pictures that both of them are very relaxed. The only thing that made Derek nervous before the wedding was the fact that he had to give a speech at the reception. As his groomsmen correctly pointed out, they opted for speeches before dinner. This did not give them enough time to get suitable inebriated in order to be more casual about speaking in public.
Derek’s speech started off something like this: “Hmpflflfff…. I’m gonna start f#@&*ng crying in a minute. Seriously man, I don’t know what to say here…”. So after his parish priest, it was time for his mother to tell him off: “No cursing Derek”…!
What a laugh!!!!
You two are good people.

Με αυτά τα δυο παιδιά γέλασα πολύ…
Ο γαμπρός είχε πάει στον παπά της ενορίας του στην Ιρλανδία για να πάρει τα απαραίτητα δικαιολογητικά για να παντρευτεί εδώ στην Ζάκυνθο. Ο παπάς τον έβρισε γιατί δεν έρχεται τις Κυριακές στην εκκλησία. Ο Ντέρεκ του απάντησε πως δεν προλαβαίνει γιατί παέι και παίζει ποδόσφαιρο. Μόνο που δεν τον σκότωσε ο παπάς…!
Τελικά ο παπαάς που είχανε στον γάμο τους ήταν ήρεμος και καλός. Το μόνο άγχος που είχε ο Ντέρεκ ήτανε για τον λόγο που έπρεπε να βγάλει στην δεξίωση. Μιάς και ΔΕΝ είχανε προλάβει να πίουνε σχεδόν τίποτα, η νευρικότητα έφτασε στα ύψη, τόσο πολύ που ο καημένος ο γαμπρός δεν είπε πολλά εκτός από “Θα αρχίσω να κλαίω σε λίγο από την συγκίνηση, ρε γαμ****”. Εκεί έφαγε άλλο ένα βρίσιμο, αυτή την φορά από την μάνα του…
Μιλάμε για πολύ γέλιο!!
