“those three words are said too much – they’re not enough”

Since today I cannot get Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars” out of my head. It was one of the songs I really like anyway, but since Scott & Laura, who got married today in Tsilivi Gardens, told me it was “their song” and I began designing their Storybook with its lyrics in mind, it has stuck…

Από σήμερα δεν μπορώ να βγάλω το τραγούδι “Chasing Cars” των Snow Patrol από το κεφάλι μου. Πάντα μου άρεσε, αλλά από την στιγμή που ο Σκοτ και η Λώρα, που παντρεύτηκαν σήμερα στο Τσιλιβί, μου είπαν πως είναι “το τραγούδι τους”, και άρχισα να σχεδίαζω το Storybook τους με τους στίχους αυτούς στο μυαλό μου, κόλλησε…

David & Rachael’s wedding photos | Φωτογραφίες γάμου Ντέϊβιντ & Ρέϊτσελ

This wedding, of which the photos are from, took place today at Alexandra Beach in Tsilivi, Zakynthos (Zante). I have never met a couple who seem so in love like David & Rachael. While I was taking the pictures at their wedding, I did notice that they kissed a lot, but it was only afterwards when I was designing their Storybook that I realised how Rachael was looking at David and vice versa.

Well here are a couple of their wedding photographs- I hope their whole life will always be like that. Enjoy!

Ο γάμος από τον οποίο συνάπτω φωτογραφίες έγινε σήμερα στο Alexandra Beach στο Τσιλιβί στην Ζάκυνθο. Δεν έχω ξαναδεί ζευγάρι που φαίνεται τόσο ερωτευμένο όσο ο Ντέϊβιντ και η Ρέϊτσελ. Όσο τράβαγα τις φωτογραφίες στον γάμο τους, είχα καταλάβει ότι φιλιόντουσαν συχνά, αλλά μόνο όταν σχεδίασα το Storybook του γάμου τους, συνειδητοποίησα με τί τρόπο η Ρέϊτσελ κοιτούσε τον άνδρα της και αυτός εκείνη.

Λοιπόν παρακάτω θα δείτε μερικές από τις φωτογραφίες- ελπίζω πως όλη τους η ζωή θα είναι έτσι.

Garry & Emma: Wedding Photographs | Γκάρι & Έμμα: Φωτογραφίες του γάμου

Below are the wedding pictures of our first experience at the Chapel in Marelen, Kalamaki.
Now here are two football-loving people! These Grimsby Town FC supporters came all the way to the Marelen in Kalamaki, Zakynthos (Zante) to get married. I simply had to put the team’s logo on the first page of their Storybook… I wish my wife would let me put an Olympiacos logo on our Storybook— haha!
I really appreciated the fact that their best man and their son are metal maniacs like myself (see pictures!)

Σας συνάπτω φωτογραφίες από τον πρώτο μας γάμο στο παρεκκλήσι του Μαρελέν στο Καλμάκι Ζακύνθου. Εδώ μιλάμε για δυο οπαδούς ποδοσφαίρου… Είναι υποστηρικτές της Grimsby Town, μιας αγγλικής ομάδας όχι γνωστής στο ευρύτερο κοινό. Μου αρέσε τόσο πολύ το γεγονός που έβαλα το σήμα της ομάδας τους πρώτη μούρη στο Storybook τους- αυτό τους άρεσε πολύ!! Να με αφήνανε και εμένα να βάλω τον “δαφνοστεφανομένο έφηβο” στο δικό μας Storybook… 
Επίσης επιτέλους ένας κουμπάρος μεταλάς (βλ. φωτό).

The Catholic Wedding of Chris & Elaine | Φωτογραφίες από τον Καθολικό γάμο του Κρις και της Ιλέην

Below are the wedding photographs from yesterday’s Catholic wedding.
Chris & Elaine, fans of the Goo Goo Dolls, are from Ireland and they got married in St Markos Church in Zakynthos (Zante).
It was a nice, peaceful ceremony- which reflects the couple, who are very calm!

Ήταν μια όμορφη, σεμνή τελετή- κάτι που ταιριάζει στο ζευγάρι, που είναι ήρεμοι ανθρώποι.

Pictures from Phil & Cal’s amazing Cameo wedding | Φωτογραφίες από τον φανταστικό γάμο στο Καμέο

We have some amazing wedding pictures for you this week from Thursday’s amazing Cameo wedding. Cameo Island is a very small private island just off Laganas bay in Zakynthos (Zante). Phil & Cal (a Geordie and a Mackem!) went full blast for this wonderful zanteweddings.com ceremony. They had a little boat cruise and a big Vardiola BBQ party afterwards. It was one of our nicest weddings of the last couple of years- Phil and Cal are so relaxed and so was everyone else who attended.

Έχουμε μερικές απίθανες φωτογραφίες από τον γάμο που τελέστηκε στο Καμέο την περασμένη Πέμπτη. Το Καμέο είναι ενα μικρό ιδιόκτητο νησί απέναντι από τον κόλπο του Λαγανά στην Ζάκυνθο. Ο Φιλ και η Καλ, και οι δυο από την βορειοανατολική Αγγλία τα δώσανε όλα για να ευχαριστηθούν αυτήν την ξεχωριστή τους ημέρα. Νοικιάσανε μια βάρκα για να φέρουνε τους καλεσμένους στο Καμέο και μετά τον γάμο είχανε πάρτι στην Βαρδιόλα τση Κυψέλης. Ήταν από τους πιό όμορφους γάμους μας τους τελευταίους μήνες. Τα παιδιά είναι τόσο χαλαροί και γελαστοί.

Φωτογραφίες γάμου: Ηλίας & Παναγιώτα | Wedding photographs from Ilias & Panagiota

Την περασμένη Κυριακή (3 Μαϊου 2009) είχαμε την τύχη να παραβρεθούμε σε έναν πολύ όμορφο γάμο στον Αγ. Νικόλαο του Βασιλικού στην Ζάκυνθο. Ο καιρός ήταν όμορφος, και τα σύννεφα ζωγράφισαν πολύ ωραία χρώματα στις φωτογραφίες μας. Τα παιδιά είναι οι κομμοτές της Σπυριδούλας και πολύ καλά παιδιά (ας ξεπεράσουμε το γεγονός πως ο Ηλίας είναι με την λάθος όμαδα).

Last Sunday, May the 3rd, 2009, we were given the opportunity to be part of a lovely wedding that took place at St Nicholas (Agios Nikolaos) in Vasilikos, Zakynthos (Zante). The weather was quite good and the clouds painted lovely colours onto our wedding photographs. The couple own the hair salon that Spiridoula goes to and they are very nice people (apart from the fact that Ilias supports the wrong football team).

Φωτογραφίες Βάπτισης Παναγιώτη | Baptism Photos of Panagiotis

Σε αυτό το αρθρό θα σας συνάψω φωτογραφίες βάπτισης από τον Παναγιώτη.
Ο Παναγιωτάκης μας μας έχει μουρλάνει…. Φτου φτου φτου.
Είναι φοβερό παιδάκι και το αγαπάμε πολύ- έχουμε και συγγένεια βλέπετε. 
Ο καημενούλης δεν έκλαψε πολύ- μόνο όταν είδε ένα κύριο με μακρύ άσπρο μούσι που ήθελε σώνει και καλά να τον βουτήξει στο νερό τρόμαξε λίγο. Η μαμά του στεναχωρήθηκε που τον είδε να κλαίει, ενώ ο μπαμπάς του φάνηκε πιό ψύχραιμος… Οι παππούδες ήταν όλο καμάρι.

In this post we will attach some lovely baptism photos of little Panagiotis.
We love our wee Panagiotis- he is such a lovely wee lad and he has a special place in our heart. We are also related you see.
The poor baby did not cry a lot- it was only when he saw the gentleman with the long white beard who wanted to bathe him that he got a little fright. His mummy was a bit upset to see him cry, while his daddy seemed to be a bit more relaxed about it. His granddads and grannies were very proud.

Portrait shoot photographs for Irma & Piet | Φωτογραφίες πορτραίτου Ίρμα & Πιτ

This is the email we received from Holland on a cold day in January:
“Hi Lukas & Spiridoula, we have a special question for you. June the 26th we are going to marry in Holland/ the Netherlands (where we live) in the presence of all our children, family and friends. BUT before that we are going for a quiet vacation to Zakynthos. We want to make it a special vacation a little bit like a pre-honeymoon!

We want to take our wedding dress and suit with us and make a wedding documentary on Zakynthos. We just want some pictures taken on beautiful places on the island. Is it possible that you can take these pictures from us and take us to beautiful photogenic places?

It is only a photo shoot of the two of us.”

So this photoshoot took place on Thursday this week in three lovely typically Zakynthian locations:
St Nicholas Beach/ Vasilikos, Bochali/ Zakynthos Town and Zakynthos Fortress.

We are very happy with the results and I am sure Irma & Piet will be, too. We wish you two all the very best for your marriage. May it be blessed with happiness, peace and health.

Μία παγωμένη μέρα του Ιανουαρίου λάβαμε το παρακάτω email:

Γειά σας Λουκά & Σπυριδούλα,
έχουμε μια ειδική ερώτηση για σας. Στις 25 Ιουνίου παντρευόμαστε στην Ολλανδία, όπου μένουμε, με την παρουσία όλων μας των παιδιών, συγγενών και φίλων. ΑΛΛΑ πριν από αυτό θα πάμε για ήσυχες διακοπές στην Ζάκυνθο. Θα φροντίσουμε να περάσουμε πολύ όμορφα, σαν ένα ταξίδι του μέλιτος νωρίς. Θα πάρουμε μαζί μας το νυφικό και το γαμπριάτικο κοστούμι και θέλουμε να φτιάξουμε ενα ντοκυμανταίρ γάμου στην Ζάκυνθο. Απλά θέλουμε να βγάλουμε μερικές φωτογραφίες σε όμορφα μέρη του νησιού.

Είναι δυνατόν να βγάλετε αυτές τις φωτογραφίες για μας και να μας πάτε σε όμορφα φωτογενή μέρη; Θα είναι μια φωτογράφιση μόνο των δυό μας.”

Πέρασαν τέσσερις μήνες και την τελευταία εβδομάδα που ήρθανε, πήγαμε σε τρία πολύ ωραία Ζακυνθινά μέρη: Τον Αγ. Νικόλα στον Βασιλικό, την Μπόχαλη, και το Κάστρο της Ζακύνθου.

Είμαστε πάρα πολύ ευχαριστημένοι με το αποτέλεσμα και είμαστε σίγουροι πως και ο Πιτ και η Ίρμα θα ενθουσιαστούνε…!

Να είναι καλά και να έχουν υγεία και ευτυχία στον γάμο τους.

Our Zanteweddings summer photography season began with a lovely Catholic Wedding ceremony that took place at St Markos Catholic Church at St Markos Square in Zakynthos (Zante) Town. The couple, David & Michelle are from Dublin, Ireland. David was so nervous (it was unbelievable!) while Michelle took it all in her stride..!
